Was Roy Rife Mesmerized?
Electro-therapy, or electro-medicinal applications were probably human-kind's first practical use for electricity. So, it follows that the traditions of science and protocol go back a long time, as do the fears, wives-tales, and general folklore. The people and the hardware which have become legendary, even iconical during the centuries, are significant to us today primarily so that we can learn from their mistakes.
Let's consider Anton Mesmer. What can we easily observe and conclude from his mistakes? Not a whole lot, it turns out. He was proceeding in much the same way as the Chinese medicine had, by trial and error.
Thomas Alva Edison perfected the light bulb in this way, and it is a method that a researcher only employs when there is no good theory as to why and how. In other words, logically, when you have no clue as to the scientific explanations for an observable cause and effect, one must become like Sherlock Holmes, and begin a process of elimination.
In some ways this is a good thing, because the experiment will not be swayed by opinion, so long as good results come in an unpredictable pattern.
When Benjamin Franklin declared Mesmer a fraud, he had already treated thousands of people, including academics, dignitaries, and leaders of nations. So Franklin effectively disqualified himself as judge, because there was not yet any theory as to why Mesmer was able to get results. Since it is impossible to disprove a theory that does not exist, this was like declaring Edison's light bulb a fraud before he discovered the filament that would make it work.
From the perspective of users of the so-called "Rife Machine", and the evolution of electro-bioactive home remedy, much of conventional medicine and it's governance is fundamentally Malthusian in intent. Franklin's declaration lived on, and Mesmer was permanently defamed. Even today, his efforts are regarded as snake oil.
Now that we have a more complete understanding of the science; and have conducted a great many more subjective tests and experiments, we know that in all likelihood Mesmer had indeed been able to make beneficial changes to the biochemistry, a dicipline that would not exist for many years.
In the most recent times, it has become evident that electrical potentials that exceed that of the body itself, are always bioactive, and always have an effect on the tissues, either beneficial, or detrimental to the body. These potentials are never neutral (at any amplitude) , unless they are reduced to nothing.
With this revelation, we can now plainly observe the mechanism by which our daily exposure to broadcast radio and microwave signals causes disease and is generally and indescriminately harmful to all living things.
